Eligibility Requirements for a Marriage Visa

Spouse Visa

You must both be over the age of 18

Your partner is British or be settled in the United Kingdom (Please note If you are a European national with pre-settled stated you can apply and do not need to wait until you have settled status)

You must be legally married or in a civil partnership

All previous relationships have broken down permanently

You must have adequate accommodation upon Entry into the United Kingdom

You speak English and understand to the required level unless exempt

Financial Requirements:

Your spouse or civil partner must earn £18,600

a. £3,800 for the first child (who is not British, settled or an EEA National)

b. £2,400 for each additional child after (who is not British, settled or an EEA National)
